Golf

One of the keen golfers who frequently plays at the Le Meilleur Horizons championship course has what he calls ‘a theory of golfing capacity’. The theory goes something like this: All golfers have a finite number of rounds of golf which they can play in their lifetime. They don’t know what that number is, but it is certainly finite.

It follows that for every time you play on an ordinary golf course, you are wasting an opportunity to play on a great golf course, because it’s one less round that you’ll be able to play in your lifetime. The answer, according to our golfing philosopher, is to play on great golf courses at every opportunity... which is why we see him at Le Meilleur Horizons so frequently.

As soon as you drive into the resort it’s easy to see why. The spectacular 18th hole of the challenging par 72 layout - designed by Graham Marsh and Ross Watson - extends before you. The waters of the lake on the right. Bunkers to the left and at the back. The lush green of the fairway ready to reward a good shot.

Paula MartiLe Meilleur Horizons Golf Resort certainly has the credentials to satisfy keen golfers. The course consistently rates within the top Australian courses by Australia's golfing fraternity. Le Meilleur Horizons is ranked No. 4 Resort Course in NSW and No. 32 of Australia’s top 100 golf courses. Horizons has been home to three of the nation’s most coveted golfing titles... the 2004 ANZ Championship, the 2002 NSW Open and the 2002 & 2003 ALPG Players’ Championship, which attracted some of the best professional golfers from Australia and around the world.

Surrounded by natural bushland, the course is 6,187 metres from the back tees, with four par threes, ten par fours and four par five holes. It offers challenges and rewards for players of all standards, who also enjoy the abundance of wildlife and the international standard of the course.

If some practice is in order before you take to the tee, the driving range surrounded by wetlands is the ideal place to prepare your swing, and your spirit. Visit our Pro Shop for all the latest in golf equipment and repairs.
