Career Highlights: Won the Ladies European Tour Rookie of the Year in 1985 and was also the Tour’s winner of the Order of Merit. Won the 1986 British Women’s Open. Won 1987 Women’s US Open. Shot 62 in the 1991 Rail Charity Golf Classic. Won 1987 and 1992 Ladies European Tour Order of Merit. Became honorary member of the Ladies European Tour in 1993 for her services to the Tour. Established a new world record with 25-under-par in the 1995 Guardian Holidays Irish Open. Won 1994 LPGA moneylist. Won Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year award and Golf Writers Association of America LPGA Player of the Year Award in 1996. In 1994 was first golfer, man or woman, to win on five different Tours in one calendar year. Represented the victorious European team for the sixth consecutive time in The Solheim Cup 2000 at Loch Lomond. Won the 2001 ALPG Players Championship.

Personal: Credits English Professional David Regan as the individual most influencing her career. Was named a Member of the British Empire (M.B.E.) by Queen Elisabeth II in 1998, one of the highest honours that can be bestowed upon a British citizen.
