Media releases Byrnes Arrives in Sweden Wednesday, 6 August 2003 Horizons Golf Resort’s Touring Professional, Cherie Byrnes has arrived in Sweden to play in the 325,000 pound HP Open to be played at Drottningholm Golf Club, Stockholm in Sweden from 7 – 10 August 2003. Byrnes had a practice round on Drottningholm with fellow Australian Jackie Kebbell and French legend of the game Marie-Laure De Lorenzi yesterday and will tee off in the HP Pro-Am tomorrow at 8.57am. Byrnes said “In the practice round we were confronted by strong winds which is great preparation for the HP Open. The field this week is strong with a lot of top Swedish players staying home to play along with a fair few other ladies who normally play on the LPGA Tour”. Byrnes will tee off in round one at 9.10am and round two at 1.30pm with Ana Larraneta (Spain) and Susan Parry (USA). |
