Media releases Gold Gold for Horizons! Friday, 29 August 2003 The Port Stephens Cocktail and Cuisine Awards was successfully relaunched at Horizons Golf Resort yesterday with over 40 talented chefs, apprentices, waitpersons being recognised by the industry and suppliers for effort and excellence in their field by receiving 6 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze awards. Horizons waiter, Ray Woodbury took out the Waitperson of the Year and was judged anonymously on his service skills and abilities demonstrated throughout the judges’ meal. Taking out gold for Horizons was Kristen Pounder for Savoury Platter and Best Celebration Cake, Liezel Paranthoiene for Table Presentation and Cream Cocktail, Aaron Sabrowski for 1st & 2nd Year Apprentice Class Knife Skills, Bowen Hanly for 1st & 2nd Year Class Dessert.
