Byrnes will compete in the second LPGA Tour Sectional Qualifying Tournament which is to be held on 17-20 September at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. The top 30 finishers from the California qualifier will join the Venice sectional qualifiers, current LPGA Tour members attempting to improve their status and the five players who finished 6th through 10th on the final 2003 Futures Tour money list at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament.

Byrnes said “I was hitting the ball great but unfortunately not holing my putts and will work on this leading up to the second qualifier in California. I had three doubles that cost me dearly and ended up missing the cut by two shots”.

Byrnes added “I am staying at the Baker-Finch’s home until I head for California and will be concentrating on my short game”.
