Media releases Horizons Christmas Carols Raises over $1,000 for The Smith Family Monday, 8 December 2003 Over 500 people shared the festive spirit at the annual Horizons Golf Resort Community Christmas Carols last night. Families brought along picnic blankets and were entertained by traditional and modern Christmas songs and dance to celebrate the Christmas season. MC for the evening, Cameron Williams of Radio 2HD was joined by performances by the Marching Koalas, Soldiers Point Primary School, Shoal Bay Public School, the Port Stephens Adult Choir, Bonnie Ike and the Cheryl Lee Dancers. The highlight for the children was a guest appearance by Big Dog and of course Santa and Mrs Claus who arrived on Harley Davidsons compliments of the Ulysses Motor Cycle Club to end an enjoyable evening. General Manager, Simon Brown said “The Christmas Carols is one of our important annual community events where we donate takings to a nominated charity. This year we raised over $1,000 for The Smith Family. Horizons is the perfect backdrop for an event such as this and we gain a lot of pleasure in families of the local community enjoying our facilities”. Horizons Golf Resort will be holding its annual special Christmas lunch for just $65.00 per adult and children aged between 3-15 are $55.00 and you can enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner for $85.00 adult and $55.00 for children under the age of 15. To celebrate the New Year an elegant function will be held on Wednesday, 31 December with two sittings at 6 - 8.15pm at $55 per person and the second sitting starting at 8.30pm – 12.30am for $90 per person.
