Going from 40 degree heat last week at Lakelands to torrential rain all day Tuesday where the course was closed and the only course practice being the Pro Am which was reduced to a 9 hole event. During day two I played some of my best golf for the tournament and I felt great about my putting and there were certainly a lot of positives which came from the week”. Byrnes added “I head for Sydney this afternoon to prepare for the Australian Open at Concord Golf Club and will play at 8.48am in the Pro am “.
