Media releases Take the Horizons Winter Escape Challenge at the Home of the 2004 ANZ Championship Tuesday, 2 March 2004 Horizons Golf Resort announces the return of the Winter escape package for only $110 per person quad share* (or $135 twin share) where guests can enjoy one night’s accommodation in a fully serviced condominium or apartment, a full buffet breakfast in Horizons café plus a choice of either 18 holes of golf on our par 72, 18 hole world class championship course or a dolphin cruise. 4 ˝ star Horizons Golf Resort offers one of Australia’s best golf courses, which constantly rates within the top 20 Australian courses by Australia’s golfing fraternity, the finest food and wine to nourish your heart and soul, fantastic facilities for all kinds of needs and the warmest of welcomes. As soon as you drive into the resort’s front gate, you will be met by the spectacular 18th hole of the Graham Marsh and Ross Watson designed course and will instantly admire the natural bushland setting, which has an abundance of wildlife. The course covers almost 68 hectares, is 6,187 metres from the back tees, has four par threes, ten par fours, four par five holes and 96 sculptured bunkers. If you select to take the Horizons challenge and head out on course to play the home of the 2004 ANZ Championship, we will also provide a bucket of 50 range balls to practice your swing on the driving range surrounded by wetlands. Professional instruction is on hand to golfers of all levels and of course some important tips to assist your game! Alternatively, you may choose to head for the crystal blue waters of Port Stephens and board Moonshadow Cruises in search of the resident bottlenose dolphins. You will also enjoy the beauty of the unspoiled waterways, which are two and a half times the size of Sydney harbour.
