Media releases Le Meilleur Horizons Apprentice Success at the Hunter Restaurant & Catering Awards Wednesday, 8 June 2005 On Monday night two apprentice chefs from Le Meilleur Horizons Golf Resort were successful in taking out first prize in their categories at the Hunter Restaurant and Catering Awards in front of a crowd of over 500 hospitality industry representatives at the Western Suburbs Leagues Club. Elizabeth Hargreaves was successful in being awarded first prize in the second year apprentice category and Aaron Sabrowski won the fourth year category while Ashley Novotny was ranked second in the second year catetgory. Elizabeth and Aaron will now progress to the state finals which will be held in Sydney in September. Ryan Kang, Director, Le Meilleur Horizons Golf Resort said "The success at these prestigious awards is the first since Le Meilleur Pty Ltd has taken over ownership and we are very proud to have such highly talented and creative apprentices working at the resort. This recognition reflects the emphasis that we place on training and the development of our younger team members". Mr Kang added "Our guests can experience the culinary talents of our award winning chefs by enjoying our current $15 two course lunch from Monday to Friday and our popular $25 three course dinner from Thursday to Sunday in Horizons Café. Amaryllis Restaurant is currently being renovated and we will be announcing a new unique dining experience and opening special which we would welcome locals to enjoy in the very near future". |
