Luke has successfully defended his title in winning the 2007 Australian Amputee
Golf Open at Le Meilleur With
hot conditions all week Luke’s consistency proved too strong for the rest of
the field, holding his overnight lead of just one shot he broke away today to
take the title by eight shots. His round of 73 on the opening day set the pace
for the week and being the only one in the field to break 80 on the final day
set him up for a comfortable victory with a a total of 231 shots for the
tournament. Ben
Field got within a shot of Luke yesterday but was unable to pull back the leader
who was in a league of his own today. Field finished in second place with a
total of 239 for the tournament. |
